Police arrest two more people in connection with vehicle arson in Steuben

Fire investigators have arrested three people in connection with a vehicle fire in Steuben.

The Fire Marshal’s Office says the vehicle fire was reported on Oct. 13, 2024 on Pinkham Bay Bridge Road.

30-year-old Cameron Brown of Steuben was arrested and charged with arson shortly after the fire.

On Wednesday, authorities arrested 38-year-old William Smeal and 37-year-old Taylor Keene at their residence in Ellsworth.

Investigators say Keene was the owner of the vehicle involved in the fire.

The pair were brought to Hancock County Jail.
