Police asking for information related to I-95 crash in York

A fatal single-vehicle crash on the Turnpike in York is under investigation.

Maine State Police said a Dodge pickup left the roadway and crashed into the tree line around 1:45 p.m. Monday at mile 7 southbound.

York Fire crews responded after the vehicle and several trees caught fire. The driver was killed in the crash. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

On Tuesday, Maine State Police said they were working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to positively identify the victim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Maine State Police.
