Police charge four with drug trafficking following traffic stop

SCARBOROUGH, Maine (WGAN) A traffic stop on the Maine Turnpike in Scarborough resulted in drug arrests.

Police say troopers pulled over a car on Tuesday and found more than 800 tablets of Gabapentin, 13 grams of a suspected heroin/fentanyl mixture, and five grams of cocaine base inside.

They arrested 41-year-old Benjamin Peaslee of Manchester, Maine; 50-year-old Todd Moses of Hyde Park, Massachusetts; 42-year-old Gary Richardson of Eutaw, Alabama; and a Massachusetts resident who police have not identified.

All four were charged with drug trafficking and are being held at Cumberland County Jail on $50,000 bail.
