Police identify elderly woman found dead in Hampden home

Police continue to investigate the death of an elderly woman in Hampden.

She was identified by police late Tuesday night as 73-year-old Georgeanne Jackson.

She was found dead, and her husband, 73-year-old David Jackson, was found unresponsive in their home on Kennebec Road.

Police went to their residence Tuesday morning after a relative requested a well-being check.

David Jackson was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The woman’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta, where an autopsy was expected to be conducted on Wednesday.
