Police identify two men found dead in Farmington

Police have identified the two men found dead inside of a residence in Farmington on Tuesday morning.

State police say they responded to a call to check the well-being of the two people living at the residence on High Street around 9:12 a.m. Tuesday. They found the bodies of two men.

The bodies were brought to the medical examiner’s office to be autopsied on Wednesday morning. They were identified as 58-year-old Donald Hunter and 55-year-old Kevin Stanley.

The cause and manner of their deaths will be released following additional testing. The deaths are being investigated by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit, Maine Drug Enforcement, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities don’t believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
