Police Identify Victim of Fatal Lewiston Hit-and-Run

LEWISTON, Maine (AP)   Police in Maine have identified a Lewiston man as the victim in a hit-and-run over the weekend.

Lewiston police say 48-year-old Louie St. Pierre was pronounced dead Sunday after he was struck by a vehicle near an intersection. The Sun Journal reports police received a call early Sunday morning and when they arrived, the vehicle was gone.

Police say a witness described the vehicle as a white SUV.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Lewiston police.
