RICHMOND, Maine (WGAN) Police are investigating a suspicious death in Richmond.

Police say the body of Andrew Sherman, 48, was found by a friend inside his home on Kimball Street Friday evening.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said an autopsy was performed Saturday in Augusta, but no further information was released.

Police said Sherman lived in the house alone, and his friend had not seen or heard from him in a few days.

Police and an evidence response team were at the home most of the day Sunday.

Anyone who has seen or heard from Sherman in the past week is asked to call Maine State Police in Augusta at 624-7076, ext. 9.
