It happened around 8 p.m. on Route 26 in Paris. Police say a northbound pickup truck crossed the centerline and sideswiped a second pickup that was towing a trailer. The truck that crossed the centerline then hit another vehicle head-on.

Police say 57-year-old Warren Austin of South Paris was behind the wheel of the pickup that crossed the centerline. 56-year-old Daniel Durant of Oxford was driving the vehicle that was struck head-on. Both men died at the scene.

Two passengers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and two others were not hurt.
