MATTAMISCONTIS TOWNSHIP, Maine (WGAN) State police have arrested a Medway man on drug charges following a fatal crash on I-95.

It happened in Mattamiscontis Township, near Lincoln, on Friday evening. Police say a car driven by 31-year-old Joshua Bell drifted into the median, over-corrected and overturned. The crash killed bell’s wife, 36-year-old Stephanie Bell, who was thrown from the truck and died at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seat belt.

Police say joshua bell was released Saturday morning and then taken into custody, after police found heroin and meth at the crash site. He’ll appear in court on Tuesday.

Police are investigating to determine if drugs played a role in the crash.
