Police investigate hit-and-run that killed dog in Bath

A woman was injured and her dog was killed in a hit-and-run in Bath.

Police are searching for the suspect in the incident, which happened around 8 p.m. Sunday near 1421 Washington Street. They said the 31-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle involved was traveling northbound.

One witness told police they saw a silver SUV in the area with damage to the front passenger side. It was a Toyota Highlander built between 2008 and 2010.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bath police.
