Police investigate Lewiston shootings

Police are investigating a pair of shootings that occurred over the weekend in Lewiston.

Police say two people were hurt near Dufresne Plaza on Lisbon St. Saturday night.

Both people were expected to recover after they walked into Saint Mary’s Regional Hospital and told staff they had been shot.

Police also say that someone fired shots on Pierce St. Saturday afternoon.

The Sun Journal reports that several rounds hit an apartment building, but no one was hurt.

Police say the shootings aren’t connected.
