Police investigate recycling bin fires in Portland

Police in Portland are looking into three fires that were set intentionally in recycling bins.

Police said the fires were set in bins in East Bayside between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Sunday near 100 Washington Street and Greenleaf Street.

Police spokesman David Singer said firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and damage was contained to the bins. No one was injured.

Police are still investigating.
