Police investigate reports of shots fired in Lewiston

Police say a building in Lewiston was struck by bullets Wednesday night.

Lewiston police say multiple calls came in around 7:25 p.m., with witnesses telling them a shooting happened in the roadway in front of 78 Howard St.

There were no reports of any injuries. Police found shell casings in the road.

Witnesses told them they heard a vehicle fleeing the area.
