Police investigate robbery at Walgreens in Portland

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Police in Portland are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a robbery at a Walgreens on Congress Street.

Officers responded to the store around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a man approached the cashier and demanded money, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was last seen fleeing in the direction of Hampshire Street.

The suspect is a white male with facial hair. He was wearing a bright yellow jacket with reflective striping and a tan baseball hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
