Police Investigate South Portland Death

Police in South Portland are investigating a death after a body was found at a residence Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say they were called to a welfare check at 213 Mussey Street at 1:55 pm, and found a dead man inside.

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit has been called in to assist with an investigation.

South Portland Police say there’s no danger to the public.

They also said they not make additional comments at this time.
