Police Investigate Woman’s Death in Lewiston

An investigation is underway over the death of a 42-year-old Lewiston woman.

Police say they were called to a residence on Old Green Road early Monday (5:10 am) for a death investigation, where they found the body.

The Lewiston Police Department requested the assistance of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South.

The body was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner in Lewiston, where an autopsy will be performed to determine cause and manner of death.

The investigation is ongoing, and police say there’s no threat to the public.

Officers say more information will be released when it becomes available.
