BANGOR, Maine (WGAN)  The Bangor Police Department says they’re investigating after staff at a daycare reported eating cookies with marijuana in them that were given to staff by a parent.

Police say they got a call Wednesday morning from staff at the Watch Me Shine daycare on Gilman Street.  Staff told police a parent had given several batches of homemade cookies to the staff and later, they started feeling the effects of “marijuana intoxication.”

Police say no children at the daycare ate the cookies.

Police say the daycare was closed for the rest of the day.  All remaining baked goods were seized to be tested.

Police say they are investigating.
