A former employee at Mt. Ararat high and middle schools is under investigation.

Superintendent Heidi O’Leary said Monday that the allegations against the former employee were “deeply unsettling” but did not offer details.

The individual has not been charged or arrested, but O’Leary said a police investigation is ongoing.

The district has been communicating with Portland police as that investigation continues.

The district says the allegations are not related to an investigation into reports of hazing among players on the Mt. Ararat High School boys’ hockey team.
