Missing Hermon woman found safe

UPDATE: Maine State Police say Collins has been found safe. 

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing woman from Hermon.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says 85-year-old Diana Collins was last seen around 11 a.m. Wednesday walking away from her home on Newburgh Road.

Police say Collins suffers from cognitive issues. She may have taken a bus, since her last cell phone ping was near Maguire Road in Kennebunk.

Collins is white, 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
