State Police say a Lincoln man died when his car crashed in a nearby township over the weekend.

Police say the body of 50-year-old Artie Lujan was found off the Access Road in T2-R8 on Monday morning.

A trooper said Lujan’s car was traveling at high speed when it went off the road, went airborne, and struck a tree. Searchers found Lujan after he was reported missing early Sunday morning. He was located near the wreck, which was about 200 feet into the woods.

Police say Lujan died at the scene.
