Police make arrest in Old Orchard Beach stabbing investigation

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (WGME) Police have arrested a man in connection with a double stabbing at an Old Orchard Beach party over the weekend.

CBS 13 reports 18-year-old Akram Ibriham was arrested in Portland on Tuesday, and charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police say two men suffered stab wounds at the party at a home on Carll Avenue. One victim was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment, while the other was treated and released at the scene.

Ibriham was being held Thursday morning at the Cumberland County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
