Old Orchard Beach police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed the Family Dollar on Heath Street.

CBS 13 reports the robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a man armed with a hammer entered the store and demanded money from the cash register.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He was wearing dark pants, a dark sweatshirt and dark sneakers.

Police say it was hard to get a good look at the man because he was wearing a mask.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call the Old Orchard Beach Police Department.
