Police: Portland Man Killed in Accident, Passenger Seriously Injuried

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Portland police say one person is dead following a crash on Sunday on Congress Street.

Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Soungha Sok of Westbrook. He died Wednesday morning at Maine Medical Center as a result of injuries he suffered in the accident.

25-year-old Harrona Sayed of Portland, his passenger, remains at Maine Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the crash is still under investigation and are asking anyone who may have witnessed it to contact them.
