Police Release Surveillance Videos of Wednesday OOB Robbery

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME (WGAN)- Old Orchard Police have released photos of the suspect in the armed robbery at the Moby Dick Convenience Store on East Grand Avenue Wednesday evening around 6:00 PM.

The Moby Dick convenience store on East Grand Avenue in Old Orchard Beach was robbed just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. An armed suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money.

The clerk confronted the suspect with a club, which caused him to flee.

It was the 12th armed robbery in southern Maine in recent weeks. While it is unclear if this robbery is related to the others, police stated that it seems similar.

Old Orchard Police were aided by Portland and Scarborough police in the investigation. The recent string of robberies is also being investigated by the FBI.
