Police search for Shapleigh man believed to be armed and dangerous

SHAPLEIGH, Maine (WGAN) Police are searching for a Shapleigh man who is considered armed and dangerous.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says 25-year-old Brandon Mahoney has multiple outstanding warrants for assaultive behavior.

Mahoney is a white male, 5’11”, weighing about 160 pounds with hazel eyes and black hair.

He was last seen Monday evening near Shapleigh Corner Road in Shapleigh wearing a camouflage shirt and shorts.

Police believe he may be looking for shelter or transportation. If you do encounter him, they advise not engaging in conversation and calling 911 immediately.
