Police search for suspect after shots fired in Portland

Police in Portland are investigating a report of shots fired in the East Deering neighborhood.

Police said they responded to the call around 9:00 a.m. Sunday near Frigate Lane. The shots were fired in and around the front door of an apartment.

Police said there were no serious injuries, but didn’t provide details.

Witnesses said they saw the suspect running away and then leaving the area in a gold sedan with tinted windows.

The suspect was described as a young male with a thin build, around 5’8″, with short, afro-style hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is being asked to reach out to Portland police.
