Police search for suspect following robbery at Portland chicken joint


Police are searching for a suspect following a reported robbery at Crown Fried Chicken on Forest Avenue.

Police were called to the business just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A press release from the Portland Police Department said the individual entered the business and displayed a black handgun while demanding cash.

The release said he fled through the front door and took off running north on Forest Avenue.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have information that might assist them in their investigation to give them a call at (207) 874-8575.
