Police searching for suspect in York bank robbery


YORK, Maine (WGAN) Police say they’re searching for the suspect accused of robbing a bank in York on Monday.

Police said the Bangor Savings Bank on Route 1 was robbed around 10:20 a.m. Monday.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing jeans, a dark hoodie sweatshirt, a dark mask, a ski hat, and gloves.

Authorities say he fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a white van with New Hampshire plates.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the York Police Department.
