A standoff in Buxton has come to an end with a man now on the run.

Police blocked off part of Dunnell Road Tuesday afternoon, where a Maine State Police crisis negotiation team were at the scene.

Police say the standoff came to an end but they’re now searching for Brady Dix Sr., who they thought was armed and in the home, but had left before they got there.

Dix’s son told CBS 13 his father is on probation and was firing guns in the backyard, but police have yet to confirm why they were at the home.
