Police seek suspect who assaulted Gardiner resident during break-in

Police are searching for a suspect accused of burglarizing a home in Gardiner and assaulting a resident.

Gardiner police say officers responded to a reported burglary and assault in the area of Brunswick Avenue and Pierce Street around 6:45 Monday evening. The victim was found with a head injury and possible broken ribs.

The victim told police that the suspect assaulted him and then fled in an unknown direction.

Police are asking neighbors who may have security camera footage or other information about the incident to contact them.
