Police: Suspect robs Bangor convenience store, flees in clerk’s vehicle

The Bangor Police Dept. is looking for a person who robbed a convenience store and stole a vehicle Sunday night.

A press release from the department said a male walked into the Circle K on Broadway and displayed a weapon.

The release said, “the clerk pushed the panic button to summon police.”

Police say the suspect threatened the clerk, stole some items from the store and attempted to abduct the clerk.

The employee was able to get away.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in the clerk’s vehicle, a silver 2001 Toyota Avalon with Washington state plates, BSW5858.

He is described as a light-complected male, approximately 5-2 and 130-150 pounds.

He was wearing a green sweatshirt with a black hoodie underneath, a gray hat, blue jeans and gray sneakers.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the stolen vehicle is asked to contact Bangor police.
