Police suspect speed played a role in deadly crash on I-95 in Sidney

A Gardiner man was killed in a crash on I-95 Thursday morning.

Police say the crash was reported around 7 a.m. on I-95 southbound in Sidney.

Troopers arrived to find a vehicle in the trees in the median.

The driver, 69-year-old Philip Marson, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was inside the vehicle.

The crash is under investigation, but speed is believed to be a factor.
