BURNAM, Maine (AP) – Police say an 18-year-old girl was killed when a car flipped and crashed into trees in Burnham, Maine.

Police say she was a passenger in a car with two boys when the crash happened Saturday night.

WABI-TV reports that police believe inexperience may have played a factor. Jeffrey Trafton of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Department said the driver had only a learner’s permit.

The two boys were hospitalized. WABI-TV said an investigator will speak to them when their condition improves.
