Police: Woman Killed in ATV Crash

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) Authorities in Maine say a woman who crashed an all-terrain vehicle into a tree over the weekend has died.

WGME-TV reports 26-year-old Shelby Peters, of Saco, was pronounced dead after being taken to Maine Medical Center. The crash happened around 10 p.m. Saturday in Portland.

A witness says Peters was given aid by her brother after the crash.

Portland police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the department.
