HOLLIS, Maine (WGAN) A Portland man who led police on a brief pursuit in Hollis is arrested.

Maine State Police say a trooper tried to stop a vehicle being driven by 58-year-old Jay Russell for a speed violation on Cape Road around 2 P.M. Monday. Police say Russell didn’t stop and then failed to negotiate a turn while trying to get away, ending up in a ditch.

Russell was arrested for failure to stop for an officer and operating with a revoked license, which he has been convicted of twice in the past. He was brought to York County Jail.
