Police say another person has died in a Portland homeless encampment.

Police were called to Harbor View Memorial Park, near the Casco Bay Bridge, just after 9 p.m. Thursday.

Officers say a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead after he was found unresponsive inside a tent.

The investigation into the death is ongoing, but police say it’s not considered suspicious.

It’s at least the third death involving a homeless person in Maine in the past week.

A man died in a tent fire near Marginal Way in Portland last weekend, while the day before that, a man died after his makeshift tent caught fire in Sanford.
