Portland Police Investigating Fatality Crash

Portland Police are investigating a crash that killed a 42-year-old woman Saturday night.

Officers say the woman drove off the road and hit a tree in the area of Brighton Avenue and Highland Street at about 9:10 pm.

They say the victim was taken to Maine Medical Center and later died from her injuries.
The Portland Police Department and its Crash Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident and no charges have been filed at this time.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have information to please call them at 207-874-8532 or 207-874-8575.
