Portland Police Looking for Suspicious Man Who Lunged at Girl

Portland Police are asking for public help to find what they describe as a “suspicious” man who threatened a girl in an area near Warwick Street on Wednesday.

Officers say a 15-year-old girl was walking home at about 12:30 pm when the man stopped his vehicle and lunged at her.

Police say the girl was able to escape and get home safely.

The suspect is described as a white, balding, 60-70-year-old man who was driving a 2009-2010 gold Toyota Corolla (or similar).

Police are looking for help in identifying the vehicle that may have traveled in the area of Warwick Street and Candlewyck Road between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

They’re asking anyone who lives in the area and has surveillance equipment that may have recorded traffic passing by to contact police.
