Portland Police searching for robbery suspect


PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Portland Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.

Police say the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 290 Congress St. was robbed just after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a man approached the pharmacists and handed him a note demanding drugs.  He ran away after being given an undisclosed amount.

Police say the suspect is a white male in his 20s, about 6’2″ with a slim build.  He was wearing a white short sleeved shirt, gray shorts and a gray flat-brim hat.  He was also carrying a gray backpack.
