Portland police are looking for witnesses as they investigate a homicide on Tukey’s Bridge.
Glen Rodney, 58, of Portland has been charged with murder for the stabbing death of Julian Nadeau, 21.
Police say a fight ensued after Rodney approached Nadeau while they were walking on a path with friends.
Rodney, who left the scene on a bicycle, was taken into custody on Presumpscot Street without incident shortly after the confrontation.
Rodney is being held at Cumberland County Jail.
Investigators are looking for witnesses who were in the area between 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on August 5th.
They’re looking for information about three males who were seen walking inbound on the path on Tukey’s Bridge.
They were wearing white t-shirts and were described as possibly Hispanic or Latino.
They were mainly speaking Spanish, while one spoke English.
Police are also looking to speak with anyone who saw a male and female in their early 20s riding bicycles and wearing helmets.
They were also heading inbound on the Tukey’s Bridge path coming from the Back Cove.
Investigators are also looking to speak with the driver of an older, light tan or gold-colored pickup truck, possibly a Nissan or Toyota, who had pulled over on the bridge before police arrived.
