Portland Teenager Seriously Injured in Overnight Shooting

Portland Police say a 17-year-old is now in stable condition after initially receiving life threatening injuries early Tuesday morning.

Officers say they were sent to a call of shots fired in the 1300 block of Forest Avenue around 2:20 a.m.

They arrived to find the seriously injured teenager, who was taken to Maine Medical Center.

The shooting is under investigation and there’s no word yet on whether any arrests have been made.
