Power Mostly Back On Throughout Maine

Power was largely restored across much of Maine by early Sunday. As of 7 am, only five Central Maine Power customers were without electricity,

On Saturday, the utility company said it had restored power to more than 108,000 customers who were impacted by this storm. At that time there were still several thousand customers without power. Central Maine Power said it had worked through the night on both Thursday and Friday into Saturday to get the electricity turned back on for customers. At 6:45 am Sunday, Versant Power was reporting one outage affecting 149 customers in Presque Isle.

The National Weather Service is forecasting calm and sunny weather through Wednesday. Wednesday night into Thursday will bring a strong chance for snow across the state, with some accumulation even in coastal areas.
