Princeton man charged with setting fire to his friend’s home

PRINCETON, Maine (WGAN) The State Fire Marshal’s Office has charged a Princeton man with setting fire to his friend’s home in Hampden earlier this week.

Fire investigators arrested 35-year-old Mark Roussel on Wednesday and charged him with arson. Investigators say the two story home on Main Street in Hampden was destroyed by fire Monday night. The home, where Roussel where frequently stayed, is owned by his friend.

Roussel was arrested at his home in Princeton on Wednesday without incident and taken to the Penobscot County Jail. He was set to appear before a judge Friday.
