The Maine Center for Disease Control on Saturday announced 30 new confirmed coronavirus cases and two additional deaths related to COVID-19.
Public health officials in Maine have confirmed a total of 616 cases and 19 deaths.
CDC spokesman Robert Long said the latest deaths involved a man in his 80s from York County and a man in his 70s from Cumberland County.
Maine CDC director Dr. Nirav Shah said on Twitter that community transmission has been confirmed in another part of the state.

Cumberland County continues to have the most confirmed cases. As of Saturday afternoon, there were 284 cases in that county. York has the second most with 143. In Penobscot County, which just became the third county with confirmed community transmission, had a total of 34 cases on Saturday. Kennebec County had 31, while Androscoggin and Waldo Counties each had 27.
Of the 616 coronavirus cases, 114 have been hospitalized at some point and 256 have recovered.
