Police in Franklin County are investigating a series of catalytic converter thefts.

The Sun Journal reports that four converters were stolen from Tuttle’s Auto on Route 27 in New Sharon recently.

Sheriff Scott Nichols says a truck driver’s car was also stolen early Tuesday when they left it in a parking area overnight.

Police later found the car with its catalytic converter missing.

Nichols says any vehicle left out in the open overnight is a potential target for catalytic converter thefts.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
