SCARBOROUGH, Maine (WGAN) Scarborough police say a man accused of choking a woman has been arrested.

Police did not provide details of the arrest, but said late Tuesday night that 49-year-old Timothy Harmon of Raymond was in custody. The alleged domestic violence incident occurred earlier this month on Beech Ridge Road. Police say they’ve been looking for Harmon for about a week. They believe he may have had help avoiding arrest.

Police said Harmon was also arrested recently for charges of Violation of Bail, Assault, Unlawful Sexual Touching, Criminal Threatening, and Domestic Violence Assault with Priors.
