Police are investigaitng a threat of violence at a school in Kennebec County.

Police say the threat against Maranacook Community High School in Readfield came via an ananonymous text message.

RSU 38 superintendent Jay Charette announced over the weekend that the high school and middle school would be closed Monday out of an adundance of caution.

On Sunday, Charette said school leaders still hadn’t decided whether the schools would reopen Tuesday.
