Police are investigating after human remains were discovered Tuesday morning in Clinton.
The remains were found in a field off Main Street, or Route 100, by Maine State Police, who were assisting Clinton Police in a missing person investigation.
The remains were taken to the state medical examiner to determine cause and manner of death.
No other details about that investigation have been released.
