Fire broke out Tuesday morning at an apartment building run by a York County shelter program.

There was damage throughout the building on Summer St. in Biddeford, especially the first floor.

CBS 13 reports that all residents made it out safely, but some pets are unaccounted for.

The shelter program made arrangements to have displaced residents stay at a hotel.

Officials believe it started in a kitchen, but the cause is still under investigation.
