A Rockport woman is charged with arson for allegedly setting fire to her home.

The fire was reported Tuesday afternoon at a home on West Street in Rockport, where the sole occupant, 35-year-old Andrea Annis, managed to get out on her own without injuries.

First responders discovered evidence of other fires that had been set on the property but burnt out.

Following an initial investigation, Annis was arrested at the scene and charged with multiple crimes, including arson, refusing to submit to arrest, and burning without a permit.
